Join us in January as we dive deep into Where Do Animals Go In Winter? A Hibernation and Migration Study! Where do animals and insects go over winter? Do they stay or do they go? Do they hide or do they forage? How do they survive with little resources? Learn the answers to these questions and more with us, this January! What's Included - Season and location-appropriate short lesson - Story time - Theme-related art project or activity - Guided hike - Ample time for free play - this is where the magic happens! When & Where - Monday, January 13, 9:30am-12pm - Bowie, MD (exact address will be emailed after registering) Who - Children ages 2-6 and a caregiver - Non-participating siblings under 24 months or over age 6 may attend for free We hope you’re able to join us this winter as we learn, play, wonder, dream, connect, tune-in, find joy and explore where Animals Go In Winter!
Cancellation Policy
Billing and Payments Payments are non-refundable (this includes canceling for sickness and inclement weather cancellations - see Inclement and Extreme Weather Policy). Health Safety If you or your child(ren) don’t feel well/are sick, please stay home. If there’s a chance you’re coming down with something, stay home. If you’ve been around someone in the past couple of days who has an illness (flu, stomach bug, covid, HFM, etc), please stay home. Use your best judgment or contact us to discuss. Inclement and Extreme Weather Policy Extreme weather can be a hazard to health and wellbeing for infants, children and adults. Extreme weather is considered to be weather conditions too hot, too cold, too windy, or generally unsafe. Roots Wildschool reserves the right to cancel in the event that: - The temperature is above 86℉ or below 32℉ (including wind chill) - The air quality is rated above 49 (air quality rated 50-99 will be closely monitored) - The wind speed is over 18mph To ensure the safety of participants, this information will be checked before the day’s activities take place. You will be notified if there is a cancellation. Please also feel free to contact us to check in if you have any questions. Cancellations/Rescheduling Should we need to cancel a session due to staff emergency or extreme weather, your session will be rescheduled for the FOLLOWING Monday i.e. if your session on Dec 9 is cancelled, the makeup date will be Dec 16. Dressing for The Weather and Location It is essential children come prepared for the day’s weather and location. Caregivers are solely responsible for dressing children in weather-appropriate clothing. Please take into account weather conditions and location. Ensure that your child(ren) are appropriately layered, have warm clothing, waterproof outerwear, gloves, hats, and suitable footwear for the conditions. Adequate protection against cold, wet, or windy weather is essential to prevent discomfort and avoid unnecessary health risks. Communication In the event that our meetup is canceled due to inclement weather, we will promptly communicate the cancellation to all registered members. You will be notified via text.
