Roots Wildschool Terms and Conditions

Billing and Payments

Payments for memberships are non-refundable (this includes canceling for sickness and inclement weather cancellations - see Inclement and Extreme Weather Policy).

Health Safety

If you or your child(ren) don’t feel well/are sick, please stay home. If there’s a chance you’re coming down with something, stay home. If you’ve been around someone in the past couple of days who has an illness (flu, stomach bug, covid, HFM, etc), please stay home. Use your best judgment or, contact us to discuss.

Inclement and Extreme Weather Policy

Extreme weather can be a hazard to health and wellbeing for infants, children and adults. Extreme weather is considered to be weather conditions too hot, too cold, too windy, or generally unsafe. Roots Wildschool reserves the right to cancel in the event that:

  • The temperature is above 86℉ or below 32℉ (including wind chill)

  • The air quality is rated above 49 (air quality rated 50-99 will be closely monitored)

  • The wind speed is over 18mph

To ensure the safety of participants, this information will be checked before the day’s activities take place. You will be notified if there is a cancellation. Please also feel free to contact us to check in if you have any questions.

Dressing for The Weather and Location

It is essential children come prepared for the day’s weather and location. Caregivers are solely responsible for dressing children in weather-appropriate clothing. Please take into account weather conditions and location. Ensure that your child(ren) are appropriately layered, have warm clothing, waterproof outerwear, gloves, hats, and suitable footwear for the conditions. Adequate protection against cold, wet, or windy weather is essential to prevent discomfort and avoid unnecessary health risks.

Communication

In the event that our meetup is canceled due to inclement weather, we will promptly communicate the cancellation to all registered members. You will be notified via text.

We strive to provide you and your families with the best possible experience at Roots Wildschool, with safety as our top priority. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns regarding our policies.
